ULD Care is launching the ULD Climate Impact Label, providing businesses with a new standard for environmental sustainability. Operating on three principles: Weight, Spare Part Availability, and Second-Life Potential, this label helps companies track their ecological footprint and promote more informed purchasing decisions. The introduction of the ULD Climate Impact Label will follow a phased approach, starting with a specific focus on Aircraft Lower Deck Containers, commonly referred to as AKEs. These widely used units play a critical role in air cargo operations, making them an ideal starting point for this initiative.

“The ULD Climate Impact Label represents a significant leap towards a more sustainable air cargo industry,” said Urs Wiesendanger, ULD Care's President. “By providing a clear and accessible framework for assessing and comparing the environmental impact of ULDs, we empower both OEMs and ULD operators to make informed decisions that minimize their carbon footprint.
