Amcor Capsules and Aludium have joined forces to offer aluminum for use in screw caps that significantly reduce carbon footprint in Europe. In comparison to primary aluminum produced in China, the aluminum product from Amcor Capsules and Aludium, manufactured in Europe, North America, and South America, showcases an impressive average reduction of over 80% in carbon footprint.

The reduced carbon can be attributed to the incorporation of recycled content into the manufacturing process and a meticulous selection of low-carbon primary aluminum. By implementing these measures, Amcor Capsules and Aludium are providing a sustainable solution that meets customers' needs and significantly reduces the environmental impact associated with aluminum production.

“We strongly believe that only by collaborating with aluminum suppliers and addressing the technical roadblocks can support manufacturers drive the industry toward lower carbon closures in the future,” commented Yannick Magnon, general manager of Amcor Capsules.
