Food containers at quick service restaurants (QSR) are traditionally characterized by their single-use design, but this reusable tableware has been designed as a decidedly more eco-friendly alternative.

Designed by the Elium Studio in collaboration with McDonald's France, the tableware is crafted using Tritan plastic resin, which is durable and helps food to maintain its flavors. The collection of tablewares includes cups for fountain drinks and coffees, French fry containers, trays and nugget cups, which are all capable of being washed and reused to drastically reduce waste for in-restaurant diners.

The reusable tableware responds to the changing regulations in France, which now requires restaurants with seating for more than 20 to offer reusable and washable containers for serving. The tablewares seen here were developed over the course of the past two years.
