Smart Planet is a packaging brand that puts together disposable dishes for food and beverage use, and the company has recently developed a smart waste cup called the ReCup that is specifically engineered to be easier to breakdown. In other words, the paper cup is disposable and recyclable with a composition that renders its design incredibly simple for waste management to compose and reuse.
While many paper cups are deemed recyclable, they often take a lot of effort and resources to fully breakdown the composition of the paper. This is where the ReCups differ, offering a structure that uses far less plastic. Despite the lack of a plastic coating, the cups are still waterproof thanks to a calcium carbonate alternative.
