The disposable hot beverage cup is notoriously difficult to recycle given its plastic-lined design, which is something the phade paper cup is here to help change. The cup features a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) lining in place of plastic that has been deceived from fermented canola oil to prioritize a compostable and marine-biodegradable design. The single-use cup could thus be broken down into compost in a matter of months from home or through municipal programs to maximize its sustainability profile.
