Non-Coated Sugarcane Packaging

'SupraPulp' from W-Cycle is Biodegradable Packaging from Sugarcane

W-Cycle has created a food packaging material called 'SupraPulp' that is made from the leftover parts of sugarcane plants. It does not get soggy or leaky when it holds wet or oily food, and it can be heated or frozen without breaking, making it a perfect solution for CPG foods and e-commerce foods. SupraPulp can be used for different kinds of food, such as frozen meals, meat, fruits, and vegetables.

SupraPulp is a good alternative to plastic packaging because it is biodegradable and sustainable, while reducing the amount of waste produced in manufacturing. W-Cycle states that SupraPulp can be thrown away with food scraps, and it does not have any harmful chemicals or metals in it. SupraPulp also creates new opportunities for sugarcane farmers and factories that can sell their waste as a useful material. W-Cycle is working on making a better version of SupraPulp that can be used for drinks and other products that need to last longer.
