TIPA packaging has announced a new packaging solution for the UK market that responds to increasing demands for sustainability.

The new packaging is crafted using rice waste and is thus 100% compostable to allow consumers to dispose of it themselves from their own home. The packaging also features a specialized pulp formulation that can be accepted through curbside recycling programs and disposed of along with paper. The packaging trays offer a decidedly eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to plastic-made varieties presently on the market, and also eliminate the need to burn agricultural waste by transforming it into something new.

CEO and Co-Founder Daphna Nissenbaum spoke on the new solutions from TIPA packaging saying, "TIPA is focused on delivering innovative solutions to the plastic packaging crisis and our new product sets a benchmark for sustainability, combining both recyclability and composability. The new paddy straw tray gives incomes to farmers for agricultural waste, boosting the economy in communities who need it the most. Our new packaging gives brands surety by avoiding plastic packaging bans whilst being ethically resourced and sustainable.”
