Eco-Products' new straws are made from polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), which is a plant-based plastic derived from canola oil. This unique material is BPI-certified compostable and meets the ASTM D6400 standard for compostability, which means they will break down in commercial compost facilities or even your home compost pile. And the straws are not only biodegrade, but they are also functional too. The new PHA straws come in a variety of lengths from 5.5 to 10.25 inches, as well as individually wrapped or unwrapped options, making the straws ideal for convenience stores and gas stations with self-serve coffee bars and other kinds of drink stations.
