Wunders and Heath Nash Join to Create the Waste Exhibition
Amy Duong — December 5, 2024South African furniture imprint Wunders works with designer Heath Nash to open waste stores that combat the local Cape Town makers after the Waste Exhibition which brought attention to the potential of reclaimed materials. The public could access and build with furniture production waste there and it is all a part of the ongoing partnership between the two.
The managing director at Wunders, Bianco Shapiro shares with Dezeen, "When I walked around the factory, the amount of waste I saw caused me anxiety. So then I met Heath and I saw what he did and his whole story. He's been at the forefront of this for 20 years. I think he's ahead of the curve, and only now are people actually caring about waste and seeing it as a valuable commodity."
