Multidisciplinary design studio Studi Karyn Lim is based in Singapore and it presents So Plast!c, which is an installation that features small tables and vessels. All of these are made to highlight the vast amount of plastic waste produced by food and drink packaging. These are transformed into new artful angles, which can be recycled once again, creating a circular cycle.

It is currently on display at SaloneSatellite for Salone del Mobile 2023. The small tables are defined by verticle and horizontal lines and are made from HDPE, which is high-density polyethylene. They draw materials including waste bottle caps and polypropylene from food and drink packaging. They are then sorted and cleaned before being processed into raw materials that can be used.
