Solar-Powered Water Purifiers

The 'Stil' Water Purifier by Hans Ramzan is Sustainable

The conceptual 'Stil' solar-powered water purifier has been designed by Hans Ramzan as a solution for developing communities and nations that prioritizes ease of access to potable water.

The water purifier works by being filled with H2O and harnessing the power of the sun to bring the liquid up to the boiling point. The unit would then capture the condensation to provide distilled water access, which is achieved without the need for any electricity or electronics.

The conceptual 'Stil' solar-powered water purifier is made possible thanks to the Fresnel lens in the top that, when exposed to sunlight, would focus it onto the internal metal rod to start the boiling process. A covered overflow hole is also observed to prevent clean water from coming into contact with dirty water.
