This innovative toilet is ideal for communities that have limited access to resources, outdoor festivals, camping grounds, and more. Dubbed 'LooWatt,' the product portrays a closed-loop system that is beneficial to environmental sustainability. The toilet can be flushed without any water and in addition, it safely gathers human waste in airtight biodegradable polymer films. Afterward, the contents are "collected and taken to a specialized anaerobic digester." From there on, the human waste is repurposed as fertilizer or even electricity.
The LooWatt innovative toilet is a step toward global sustainability. Given the state of the planet, a bathroom essential that does not work with water is in increasing demand.
As of right now, approximately 800 people are testing the long-term potential of the innovative toilet system.
