Eco-Friendly Waterless Composting Toilets

Swedish bathroom company Harvest Moon introduces its first product in the form of the Luna composting toilet. It is a waterless design that turns waste into fertilizer and soil. The product was unveiled during the Stockholm Furniture Fair after five years of development.

The brand claims that the system is clean and hygienic, free of any smells, and allows for disposal of human waste without ever having to come in contact with it. The product's brochure reads "We are making water-free toilets a part of everyday life. Although water-based sanitation in many ways is a solution of the past, it is still seen as the gold standard. Challenging this means creating a water-free toilet that not only looks great and is easy to install but also has a comfort that rivals that of the water-based system."
