Ambient Energy Harvesting Planters

This conceptual hydroponic planter system has been designed by LFD as a solution for consumers who want to keep greenery in their space in a low-maintenance way. The planter is equipped with an energy harvesting system that will capture the ambient energy in a space from touch and noise to power the internal components. The LEDs will provide the perfect amount of light to prevent spaces with little to no natural light still support plant growth.

The conceptual hydroponic planter system comes in packaging made with biodegradable styrofoam from mycelium, while the seeds for the kit come embedded in water-soluble paper. The packaging features soy ink-printed instructions and information to further round out the eco-friendly form of the system.
