Designers Eugenio Costa, Edoardo Graci, Valeria Cattoni, and Simone Centonze create the Square Greens pod. It is a unique solution that propels food production through innovative technology. It is able to offer nutritious meals within only four days.

To cultivate food, the pod functions as an entire ecosystem that can rapidly grow plants by facilitating water absorption and ensuring that the plants are getting enough nutrients needed to thrive. It implements features such as the water stopper to release water into the pod. Additionally, it is designed to be simple to use as the produce is easily removed with a status bar that changes color when the plants are receiving water. This provides users with a visual indicator of the hydration status of the pod.
