Food production is about to get a whole lot more advanced in San Antonio, Texas thanks to this new Soli Organic vertical farm that's being touted as one of the most technology-focused ones yet.

The facility is located at the site of the Former Brooks Air Force Base in the Brooks Community where it has 140,000-square-feet of space with 100,000-square-feet dedicated to production. The incorporation of six vertical layers of growing capacity and 40,000-square-feet of space for processing and packing makes the facility a powerhouse for efficient food production. The indoor farm will feature more than 10 crops including salad greens, organic herbs and more.

Chief Executive Officer Matt Ryan spoke on the Soli Organic vertical farm saying, "In today’s economy, consumers want value, and that’s what our new San Antonio facility is designed to deliver. This operation is pivotal to our national growth strategy, exemplifying our commitment to making organic produce accessible through a scalable, sustainable and profitable model."
