Kilometre Verde, an Italian vertical farming company, has partnered with Coop Italy to bring four distinct salad varieties under the Fior Fiore brand to 700 stores. This collaboration is a notable advancement in sustainable and localized agriculture, with Kilometre Verde's multi-leaf lettuce, green, curly, and variegated lettuce now being packaged in environmentally friendly compostable paper bags.

Initially, Fior Fiore products will be accessible in the five cooperatives of the Coop Italia consortium, including Unicoop Tirreno, Coop Alleanza 3.0, Coop Centro Italia, SAIT, and Unicoop Firenze. From January onward, the partnership will extend to include the consortium of cooperatives from the North West, encompassing Nova Coop in Piedmont, Coop Liguria, and Coop Lombardia. The company aims to establish a comprehensive presence across Italy's Coop network.
