The Blue Project Tea Kettle Helps Save Water and Electricity
Michael Hemsworth — March 22, 2021References: yankodesign & jacobalmandersson
A vast amount of electricity is wasted due to the overuse of the millions of electric kettles in Europe every day, so The Blue Project tea kettle has been created as an eco-friendly alternative that would help to curb this. The kettle features a control knob on the front that will create a bit of resistance when the lever is drawn upwards to have the water boiled to a higher temperature. The unit also combats against water waste by having a buoyant internal liner pop out more according to how much water is inside to thus encourage the user to fill it with less water.
The Blue Project tea kettle is the design work of Jacob Alm Andersson and Alexandra Fransson, and could work to drastically reduce resource use.
