Stil™, a low-cost domestic device, has revolutionized the purification of unclean water into safe drinking water using the sun's energy. In developing countries, unclean water has become the most significant cause of death in children under five, with over 370,000 deaths from diarrhoea alone in Asia last year. Stil™ has the potential to save over 2,000 lives a day worldwide.

Dirty water is boiled, and the steam condenses into pure drinking water using magnified sunlight through a domed fresnel lens. Its sustainable bamboo composite material can hold up to 12L of water, providing a healthy intake for a family of six. The sleek design and detachable structure make for easy cleaning and can be used with snap-on metal legs or placed on an outside table with access to abundant sunlight.

Designer Hans Ramzan created Stil™ to positively impact society, focusing on issues such as gender inequality, environmental impact, and political woes.
