A recent innovation for the consumer market is Source Global's direct-to-consumer hydropanels which can be attached to individual homes. The technology works to transform water vapor in the air into water. According to the company, the convenience-focused hydropanels, which measure four by six feet in size and less than 300 pounds in weight, present an affordable solution to bottled water in the long term.

Source Global's technology comes as the United States is suffering through "a historic megadrought." Given that many places outside of the United States are also experiencing severe resource depletion, it would be paramount to develop Source Global's technology for other countries, as well.
