Achelous Developed a Float that Generates Clean Energy from Rivers

'Achelous Energy,' based in the United Kingdom, is developing a float for rivers that can simultaneously harvest solar and aquatic energy. The design of the float incorporates two vertical-axis turbines and an array of solar panels, which enable it to operate continuously while producing clean energy over time. Additionally, the float's design is sustainable in that it does not require large energy storage tanks for excess energy, nor does it impede the regular ecological function of the river it is deployed into.

Achelous Energy has partnered up with the Nepal Energy Foundation to coordinate the deployment of pilot projects. Achelous is also actively seeking partners and is looking to enter the Series A funding stage in the coming months before a larger-scale deployment of its clean energy solution.
