Renewable Energy Plants

NextEra Constructed a Three-in-One Renewable Energy Plant

'NextEra' created what has been referred to as the first large-scale renewable energy power plant in the United States that employs all three forms of renewable energy. This plant is equipped with solar arrays, windmills, and battery storage facilities. This means the device takes advantage of wind and sun, while storing any excess power not actively consumed by the grid. Additionally, NextEra stated that its active power generation is enough to consistently supply more than 100,000 homes with energy, all from zero-emissions sources.

While the first NextEra power plant, the 'Wheatridge Renewable Power Facility,' is located in Lexington, Oregon, the company has outlined its intentions to construct additional plants in Oklahoma and Arizona, as well as seven other unconfirmed locations. This is a large step forward for renewable energy and reduced emissions in its operating regions.
