Rentals for Rubbish Lets Customers Pay for Sports Gear Rentals with Litter

In partnership with World Cleanup Day, global sports retailer Decathlon is inviting customers to pay for sports gear rentals by turning in litter with Rentals for Rubbish. With this initiative, customers can pay for rental bikes, paddleboards and camping gear by beautifying their communities. While protecting the environment, Rentals for Rubbish helps to make sports more accessible to all.

With Rentals for Rubbish, Decathlon is aiming to collect 5,000 pieces of litter within two weeks in the UK alone. Participants can record the litter they've collected on the Planet Patrol app before responsibly disposing of it at home or dealing with it through a recycling facility.

Additionally, a pop-up store in London recently opened its doors to boost the launch of this awareness campaign.
