In an effort to be more sustainable, Anheuser-Busch recently joined forces with its sports team partners -- including the National Football League and Major League Baseball -- to encourage fans to “recycle like a champion.” The new initiative, dubbed the National Recycling League, aims to reduce waste on game day and raise awareness of the need for recycling.

Every team has committed to adopting and implementing a variety of innovative National Recycling League activities aimed at reducing waste and improving recycling rates at stadiums in order to divert recyclable materials, such as beer bottles and cans, from landfills. As part of the recycling campaign, aluminum cups will be offered to fans instead of single-use plastic cups since aluminum can be recycled multiple times without losing quality, recycling decals will be placed in seats, and stadium signage will encourage fans to "recycle like a champion."

"At Anheuser-Busch, we approach everything we do – including sustainability – with an innovation mindset so that we can create an outsized impact. Through the National Recycling League, we are thrilled to bring together our team partners and sports fans to work towards a shared dream of a future with less game day waste and more cheers," said Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch.
