AB InBev Launched EverGrain to Prevent Needless Waste

Brewing giant AB InBev is creative and proactive when it comes to waste-free beer production. The brand made strides last year with its EverGrain program which is specifically designed to gather barley protein and fiber. These materials, which presented an excess during beverage production, were previously discarded. AB InBev saw an opportunity here that would advance sustainability through promoting waste-free beer brewing but also would do so for other companies.

Through running EverGrain, AB InBev is able to donate its excess waste to make nutrient-rich products that can be utilized in milk, flour, and meat alternatives. Some of AB InBev's barley protein and fiber can be found in Garden of Life's protein powder, Post Holding's barley flour-based snacks, as well as Corona.
