Refurbished Recycled Ads
Creative Duo Shows the Stunning Transformation of Recycled Advertising
Janelle Savel — February 27, 2014In Paris, collaboration team French NGO Ecofolio and Zim & Zou have shown pedestrians the benefits of recycled advertising by creating a bus shelter poster made from newspaper scrapes.
This video shows pedestrians placing old newspapers into a box on l’avenue de l’Opera. Within days the team took those scrapes to create a paper sculpture of a beautiful phoenix. The billboard was illuminated and put in the same location as the previous installment for pedestrians to witness the quick and impressive transformation.
This project is designed to show people the benefits of recycling and how new and useful objects can be created from otherwise trash. More importantly, this shows that creativity can be sparked and designed from just about anything, all it takes is some imagination.
