Zero-Waste Cafe Pop-Ups
Ecover's Cafe Will Only Accept Recyclable Plastic as Payment
Laura McQuarrie — April 20, 2018Eco-friendly cleaning product brand Ecover will soon be launching a pop-up zero-waste cafe that is being touted as "London's first rubbish cafe." Although this title might lead one to think poorly of the cafe's menu or service, the pop-up cafe is an inspiring one that boasts a fully zero-waste vegan and vegetarian menu—but the catch is that one may only "pay" by presenting recyclable plastic in place of cash.
Over the course of two days in May, the cafe is set to inspire people in London to reduce, reuse and recycle plastic, all the while promoting Ecover's new washing liquid range that's packaged in recycled and recyclable bottles.
To complement the eco-friendly menu crafted by chef Tom Hunt, the design of the pop-up cafe is set to include upcycled items inspired by designer Max McMurdo.
