Online Zero-Waste Shop Catalogs
Nice and Serious Points Londoners to Their Local Zero-Waste Shops
Kalin Ned — June 21, 2019Creative agency Nice and Serious launches the 'Useless' platform which is dedicated to providing individuals with tips for reducing plastic use, as well as a directory of local zero-waste shops. As sustainability-focused consumerism is on the rise, we are expected to see many resources like this become available to planet-conscious individuals.
The digital directory is characterized by an accessible identity. Through a design-friendly and whimsical aesthetic, Nice and Serious are able to engage visitors in a more open and less confrontational manner. The local zero-waste shops are spotlighted in an interactive map which instills a sense of agency in the user and allows them to experience the resource hands-on.
The idea for the resources was initiated by an in-office conversation around the disproportionate use of plastics when it comes to packaging and grocery shopping.
