Recycled Snack Chip Packaging
Tyrells is Introducing New Recycled Plastic Packs
Michael Hemsworth — March 28, 2024KP Snacks-owned Tyrrells snack chips is debuting new recycled plastic packs in the UK as part of the brand's initiative to reduce its reliance on virgin plastic materials. The brand's snack chips will now come in packets crafted with 25% recycled plastic and will help the brand to further reduce its packaging footprint. The packaging will be observed across the brand's 150-gram packet range and will communicate their recycled content to consumers via a bright green banner across the front.
Marketing Manager, Tyrrells, KP Snacks Beth Minch spoke on the recycled plastic packs saying, "As an industry leader, we understand we have a responsibility to drive change. We aim to support the use of recycled plastic in our packaging as it becomes available, facilitating the drive towards a circular economy and a more sustainable future. By introducing recycled content to our Tyrrells sharing bags, we are beginning to close the loop on packaging while reducing the need for virgin plastics. This latest packaging innovation forms part of a broader cross-brand strategy designed to minimise our environmental footprint.”
