PZ Cussons is partnering with TerraCycle to launch a new pouch design that will reduce the amount of plastic used per unit. Boasting 85% less plastic, these pouches can be easily deposited at public collection points to prevent pollution and plastic waste across the UK.

TerraCycle's recycling method involves several steps to ensure the efficient and sustainable reuse of materials. Initially, the packaging is washed, separated, and shredded to prepare it for further processing. Subsequently, the shredded materials are melted down into plastic pellets. These pellets serve as the raw material for producing new plastic products, including outdoor furniture and fence posts, contributing to the circular economy and minimizing waste.

“The Carex Recycling Programme a is free and simple way for everyone to recycle their plastic pumps and refill pouches as easily as possible while at the same time raising funds for good causes,” said Carex’s global head of brand Ian Henderson.
