The 'OTO' Chair Design is Flatpack and Sustainable
Michael Hemsworth — April 4, 2023The 'OTO' chair design has been designed by Alessandro Stabile and Martinelli Venezia in partnership with Italy-based Ogyre as a sustainable seating solution with a user-centric design. The chair maintains a flatpack construction that doesn't require any tools to be erected and features a fastening system with individual components that are easy to produce at high volumes. The chair thus takes a holistic approach to sustainable design by utilizing both recycled ocean plastic and eco-friendly design principles to change industry perceptions.
The 'OTO' chair design is meant to be sold directly to the buyer to cut out the middle parties, which is further reinforced thanks to the name 'One to One.' The chair is also inherently easy to ship thanks to its aforementioned flatpack design.
