Solving global warming takes more than just trees

A Plastic Planet (APP) is launching a new ‘PlasticFree’ online tool to help companies shift to plastic-free operations. The tool was created using expertise from over 40 designers, material experts, scientists, and business leaders and is designed to help over 160 million global creators incorporate plastic-free products into their daily operations. According to APP, designers are responsible for one of the most important roles directly affecting the packaging sector. This means that this role directly affects how environmentally sustainable the industry is.

Through PlasticFree, APP will offer in-depth reports of plastic-free alternatives and insights into system changes. PlasticFree will also offer workspaces for team collaboration and case studies from five continents about alternative materials such as bamboo, algae, seaweed, and aluminum.
