Sustainability-Focused Brand Initiatives
Everlane Plans to Be Completely Plastic-free by 2021
Kalin Ned — November 15, 2018As tensions about climate change rise and the demand for brands to adopt a more sustainability-focused model increases, Everlane announces its plans to be completely plastic-free by the year 2021. The project is well underway as the direct-to-consumer label is updating its stock, one line at a time — from the 'Clean Silk' project and the move to more ethical, LEED-certified factories to the recently released ReNew collection that transformed 3 million single-use bottles into functional clothing.
Everlane's hopes of becoming completely plastic-free and more environmentally-conscious are not restricted to the label's collections and supply chain, however. To meet its goal by 2021, the brand plans to systematically tackle each area of its business — from product packaging to offices and stores.
