High-Tech Eco-Conscious Furniture

The WoodenWood Project Upcycles and Utilizes Robotic Printing

In the world of eco-conscious furniture, the WoodenWood Project stands out for its stunningly modern pieces and its innovative exploration into manufacturing them. Emphasizing the need of reducing the amount of material that goes into the landfill, the WoodenWood Project harnesses unused wood waste in the construction of its products. The "traditional modular woodworking" is enhanced with the use of robotic printing. The technology adds texture and visual appeal to the eco-conscious furniture—"a new wood textile that resembles a rattan texture while using sawdust," for example. The WoodenWood Project sources its wood paste from Daika and in doing so, maintains the 100% biodegradability of the design.

The designers behind the WoodenWood Project are Avraham Cohen, Yuval Berger, Alon Nisan, Yoav Dabas, and D.DLAB director architect Shany Barath.
