Aectual Creates 3D Printed Wood for Sustainable Design

Aectual is a progressive furniture and manufacturing platform and it believes in the sustainability of 3D Printed Wood materials as the answer for greener design. It presents a look at the Wood Series, which is comprised of wooden screens that come in three colorway palettes.
The company blends wood waste residue with vegetable fibers including hemp and flax for a durable finish. This blend of materials along with the 3D printing process will create unique textures that appear to be real wood. The material is printed on top of screen panel sections that measure between 1 to 2 meters in size. These screens can be used for interior architectural applications such as window blinds, room dividers, and wall paneling.
