Siqi Yang designed the Spidique chair, which is a plastic-based piece of furniture using technological simulations to build a strong structure and visually pleasing aesthetic. It is inspired by iconic designers including Ross Lovegrove and Luigi Colani -- Lovegrove is known for using technology to form organic shapes. Colani is renowned for rounded and fluid shapes so together, the Spidique taps into how technological precision with an artful touch.

The Spidique relies on 3D printing which depends on Ameba software along with a BESO algorithm, which stands for Bidirectional Evolutionary Structural Optimization. This helps with optimizing topography to create a chair the is strong and efficient when it comes to the materials. It takes several states to form starting with creating the algorithm.
