Out of the Oceans is the sister brand of Out of the Woods. Both businesses share an ecological mission embedded in their manufacturing ethos and this is reflected in their names.

As one might expect, the foldable totes and reusable shopping bags offered by Out of the Ocean are made from 100% ocean plastic. The brand has estimated that one unit "removes the equivalent of three plastic bottles from our oceans and waterways." The bottles, collected from shores and coastal communities, are shredded into small flakes and pellets. These smaller units are worked into yarn or fabric for the bags.

Aside from its product range, Out of the Oceans collaborates "with the world's leading ocean cleanup group" on educational opportunities and empowering communities.
