CRM Platform ESG Goals

Salesforce, the consumer relations management platform, announced the 'Salesforce ESG Program,' a new set of environmental, social, and governance goals that will directly coincide with internal compensation programs. This means that the executives in the company, including the vice president and above, will have their monetary compensation tied to their success in four ESG areas.

Salesforce announced that for the first year of its ESG program, it will target equality and sustainability, with the other two ESG areas being left for future years. As part of its equality goals, Salesforce will focus on increasing representation for underrepresented groups of people, such as people of color and women.

As for its sustainability goals, Salesforce is placing an emphasis on carbon footprint goals caused by its own operations and staff. This means the company will reduce air travel emissions, increase investment in sustainability-focused partners, and work with its suppliers to reduce carbon footprints overall.
