Laird Superfood Launches New ESG Program Called 'Ohana Care'

Laird Superfood, a food brand specializing in plant-based superfood products, has announced the launch of its 'Ohana Care' program. According to the company, the new long-term initiative builds on the brand's mantra -- "Better for You, Better You" -- by benefitting communities in need by providing them with nutritious plant-based foods.

The program will consist of three main projects: 'A Carbon Neutral Last-Mile,' 'Feeding America', and 'Fueling Frontline & First Responders.' This multi-pronged approach will see the company introduce new sustainability-focused production and distribution practices as well as partner with Feeding America to donate Laird Superfood meals to families in need. Moreover, the company will partner with various hospitals to support frontline workers through the donation of coffee, creamers, a coconut hydration products.

"Now, we are introducing a formal program to more effectively focus our efforts and guide our team as we secure new partnerships that will help us reach our goal of making plant-based, superfood products accessible for everyone," said Laird Hamilton, co-founder of Laird Superfood.
