Danone-owned dairy brand Horizon Organic recently announced a new commitment to combat against climate change that will see it going carbon-positive across its entire supply chain by 2025.

The new initiative will see the brand co-creating new projects that will work to generate carbon offsets and work to remove polluting procedures within the agriculture industry in the US. This will include restoring forestlands and prairie lands, while also investing in emissions reductions, renewables and more.

CEO of Danone North America Mariano Lozano spoke on the new Horizon Organic initiative saying, "Climate change is the challenge of our lifetime. We are out of time on this issue. Food and farming must evolve. This includes helping our farmer partners implement breakthrough regenerative soil practices, cow feed and diet management programmes, and energy efficiency. These steps and more will play a significant role in helping Horizon Organic become carbon positive.”
