Eco-Friendly Alt Milk Packaging

The Califia Farms packaging has been updated by the brand across North America to give it a more sustainable edge over the competition and prioritize a commitment to change in the industry.

The brand has converted all its bottles in both the US and Canada to 100% recycled plastic (rPET) that's reported by the brand to help reduce the company's greenhouse gas emissions by around 19%. The packaging update will also help to cut the brand's energy usage in half. The brand will be communicating the packaging change to consumers via an on-pack QR code that will direct them to a dedicate website for learning more.

Chief Executive Officer Dave Ritterbush spoke on the Califia Farms packaging update saying, "This transition to 100% rPET represents a significant commitment to soften Califia's environmental footprint. While Califia is an inherently sustainable business thanks to the plant-based products we produce, we recognize the importance of ongoing, forward progress in our sustainability journey. By moving to 100% rPET for our iconic curvy bottle, we're taking a major step in reducing our reliance on virgin plastic and advancing the principles of a circular economy."
