Salesforce, the San Francisco-based, cloud-based software company, has announced the addition of "sustainability" to its list of core values, marking the brand's fifth core value. This change is more than just a word on a website, though, as Salesforce has announced it will be embracing sustainability company-wide. As part of this new initiative, sustainability will be included in a section of each employee's Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, and Measures (V2MOM) framework.

Salesforce's V2MOM is a framework for setting, managing, and achieving goals, meaning the company will now begin establishing internal sustainability goals. In addition to this, Salesforce will consider sustainability when making partnership decisions, company product decisions, and decisions regarding future ventures. Essentially, Salesforce has committed to reducing its climate impact year after year, and now this loose commitment has been solidified in writing and company policy for the world to see.
