Dell's Progress Made Real Initiative Focuses on Sustainability

Dell announced its Progress Made Real initiative, which will bolster the company's investment in sustainability. The new sustainability efforts will have a significant impact on the company's carbon footprint but also the electronics industry as a whole.

As part of the Progress Made Real project, the company will transition its facilities to run on 75% renewable energy. Additionally, Dell is also committed to fully transition its facilities to 100% renewable energy by the year 2040. Dell will also work to increase energy efficiency along its supply chain. The initiative also states that Dell will recycle a similar product, each time a consumer makes a purchase from Dell. As a result, the company believes that by 2030, half of its products will be comprised of recycled materials.
