Staples Canada and eCycle Solutions have teamed up to lead the charge in responsible e-waste disposal. The retail giant and its national electronics recycling partner first launched an electronics recycling program in 2020, and have now expanded it across all Staples Canada locations.

The program invites customers to bring in end-of-life electronics for recycling, and has lead to an impressive 20.5 million kilograms of electronic waste to be collected since its inception. Recyclable items encompass everything from cell phones, computers, computer parts, small appliances, and more. Staples Canada is also an authorized e-waste provider site through the Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) on a national scale, ensuring that the recycling process adheres to industry standards.

Moreover, Staples Canada's initiatives extend to other recyclables, such as batteries, ink cartridges, writing instruments, and even shredding services. The retailer is also encouraging environmental responsibility through programs like the School Ink Recycling initiative and its writing instrument recycling program, making it a sustainable leader both for its industry and beyond.
