Parker Aerospace is Further Investing in Liquid Hydrogen

This initiative, supported by industry partners and academic institutions, focuses on the advancement of liquid hydrogen fuel systems. Parker Aerospace contributes its expertise in motion and control technologies to the development, testing, and validation of these innovative fuel systems. The HyFIVE consortium aims to create a scalable and modular cryogenic hydrogen fuel system architecture, which is expected to support zero-emission aviation technologies by the 2030s.
The company’s participation in the HyFIVE consortium is a testament to its commitment to sustainability and clean technology. Parker Aerospace provides advanced technology solutions in key areas such as sensing, thermal management, and fluid conveyance. With an initial funding of £17 million ($21.5 million) from industry matched by £20 million ($25 million) from UK Government, the consortium plans to develop critical technologies for hydrogen storage, conveyance, indication, fueling, and venting. By collaborating with leading industry and academic partners, Parker Aerospace is positioning itself at the forefront of the transition to zero-emission aviation.
