Clean Hydrogen Production Startups

CEMEX Ventures invested in HiiROC, a clean hydrogen production startup, to continue its role as a pioneer in the adoption of hydrogen technology within the cement industry. The trailblazing company is backing the hydrogen production startup company as it develops a solution for hydrogen production without CO2 emissions.

HiiROC is based in the UK. The sustainable company uses thermal plasma electrolysis to transform biomethane, natural gas, and flare gas into hydrogen. The technology it developed produces clean hydrogen at a significantly lower cost than competing companies. In addition, HiiROC does so without emitting CO2. CEMEX aims to increase its hydrogen infection capacity in its cement operations through its partnership with the clean hydrogen production startup.
