CHRYSO Aims to Revolutionize the Concrete Industry With 'EnviroMix'
Niko Pajkovic — January 18, 2022CHRYSO, a company specializing in sustainable solutions for the construction industry, has announced the launch of 'EnviroMix,' a new range of eco-friendly products and services aimed at reducing and controlling the carbon footprint of concrete. In particular, EnviroMix looks to revolutionize the precast and ready-mix concrete industries.
According to the company, the new line of custom-made mixtures offers the perfect combination of high-performance and carbon reduction. In fact, several of the new products boast a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions when compared to traditional concrete mixtures. In addition, the comprehensive solution lets workers control concrete admixtures using new binders while offering them real-time monitoring tools that can accurately measure their building sites' CO2 impact.
“The construction industry is accelerating its transformation to manage and reduce the environmental impact of its carbon footprint. CO2 footprint is a major challenge in the development of concrete formulations, coupled with the traditional properties of this material, and at the heart of our construction techniques (classes of strength and durability, workability, setting time, etc.)," said Frédéric Guimbal, Director of Concrete BU, in a recent press release.
