Zero-Emissions Aircraft

This Battery-Electric Aircraft Aims to Revolutionize Air Travel

Elysian Aircraft, a Dutch company that has the lofty aim of revolutionizing air travel with eco-friendly results, is preparing to create a battery-electric aircraft that is capable of covering long distances without generating any carbon emissions whatsoever.

The 'Elysian E9X' battery-electric aircraft, which is expected to begin operations in 2033, makes use of elongated wings that are mounted lower down than contemporary aircraft, while its fuselage is noticeably compact. These design choices are designed to be able to reduce the weight of the aircraft frame, which translates to a mitigation of drag and an accompanying increase in the aircraft's range.

It is claimed that this battery-electric aircraft will be able to achieve a range of 1,000 km, which would enable it to account for a large proportion of commercial flights.
