'Cake,' the Swedish electric motorbike manufacturer, announced the 'Cleanest Dirt Bike Ever' project with a singular clear goal: to create an electric dirt bike that boasts truly zero emissions from start to finish. While many e-bike manufacturers purport their products as zero emissions, this does not include the materials for the bike or the manufacturing process for the bike. However, Cake vows that its Cleanest Dirt Bike Ever will include every aspect of the bike.

Steve Ytterborn, the CEO of Cake, stated: "To understand and tackle our own impact, we have measured the emissions from our entire production chain for one Cake Kalk OR, and started to decarbonize every step to a minimum by 2025. By doing so, our second most important contribution to the planet is to inspire other manufacturers to step up and do the same." This statement was backed up with specific emissions numbers, stating that one Cake e-bike currently requires 1186kg of CO2 emissions to be produced. The company is actively seeking ways to innovate on this process to reduce these emission to 0 by 2025 in a very real way.
