Jonas Edvard Creates the Sustainable Myx Sail / Floor

Jonas Edvard designs a new sustainable material in the form of the Myx Sail / Floor. It was presented at the Mindcraft Project 2023 and is a sound-absorbing panel. It highlights the unique details and properties of a slew of materials including mushroom mycelium, willow, and hemp. It measures 1 meter by 1 meter for a square structure showcasing the structural abilities of the biomaterials.
It also is a direct representation of Edcard's work in creating responsible design methods. The Myx Sail / Floor nods to Edvard and his work of exploring the relationship between design options and the impact it has on nature as a whole. It functions as a flexible room divider with a pre-designed mold and the mycelium grows gradually to bond with the plant fiber blend.
